The EPA is the real war monger here I guess. We have plenty of oil in the U.S. Bush has been wanting to drill more within our borders for a long time. I know this and steps are being taken to do that still. I just don't see how liberating women is a bad thing. Unless someone had a good enough reason to keep their mouths shut.

in regards to people commenting that people should just rise to the attention of and succeed that way, and THE American idea that you can do anything, noting stands in your way really dont (in my opinion) understand how the world works. Its true that every once in a while or that a single individual can sometimes accomplish, but the majority dont, and its not bcus they r sub par or any fault of their own. Thats what programs and policies like this try to correct

While I would like to support this effort as I support its ultimate goals, the effort is ill-conceived and especially in this statement fails to articulate the essential principles of individual rights.
Further, the ad hoc disintegrated nature of this initiate testifies to the State Department's failure to leverage its distributed infrastructure of ambassadors and embassies to implement policy while developing a score card metric for assessing our bilateral relations.
