Phrase Three - Original Piano Composition

This is the third phrase, (no kidding :), also inspired by philip Glass, based this time on glasswork technics : eighth notes with triplets...

I dedicate this song to Marion, who inspired me a lot when I was composing this song. At every scales, this song is supposed to illustrate our perpetual return in our past, our memories. It tries to show how it's hard, and hurtful to redo things you already done, or missed before.

@tehmikuji and p.s. i feel it did a good job at invoking what you described you were trying to evoke, emotionally, for me.

even though minimalism is pretty easy, i love it. i've incorporated a lot of it into most of my compositions. i tend to focus more on harmonies, textures and rhythms (this piece being an example of that), more so than melodies, most of the time.

Nice composition. You stuck to the 2 against 3 all throughout, but as you yourself said you intentionally made that choice, so I wasn't expecting any breaking out of that pattern. Good harmony work. I enjoyed it.

Great tune! I would suppose, glasspig, that he kept the watch there in order to keep the eighth notes and triplets in time by having the keyboard keep track of triplets and his watch the eighths. Just speculation, of course.
