  • @dasistich Al Andaluz Project - "Gran Dereit"

The track "De Santa Maria" is taken from the Album "Al Andaluz Project - Deus et Diabolus" (2007). It is an inspiring encounter between the talented musicians of L'Ham de Foc (Efrén López & Mara Aranda) and Estampie (Sigrid Hausen, Michael Popp and Ernst Schwindl). This is sprightly music, fusing Mediterranean, Oriental and medieval moods. Listen and enjoy it.

  • @conncork No, the solo instrument is a saz, not the oud. the oud is playing rhythm.

  • Gran Dereit by Al Andaluz Project. Its a cantiga de Santa Maria.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • So danced to a tune like this the Goths, Huns, and Vandals, the very night that Rome fell,

So too danced the peasants, the poor of Rome, at burning houses where their rulers no longer dwell,

So they danced all night, till the cold light of morning fell upon their grey ashen city,

So too will dance our modern peasants too; come morning also upon these too have pity...

  • Great video

  • It's too hard to decide which voice is better in Estampie+L'Ham de Foc, Mara or Syrah... Different styles, perfect combination :O
