United Nations, New York, 10 August 2009 - Daily press briefing by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General. An informal weeklong UN negotiating session on strengthened international climate action started today in Bonn, Germany.
The consultations are part of a series of gatherings being held this year by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The meetings are designed to culminate in an ambitious and effective international climate change deal in Copenhagen in December.

exactly! time is running out.. we need to use our voice, individual talents, and try to influence the decisionmakers from our governments to 1. attend climate summit and 2. while there, ACT the way the voters, NGOs and UN expect them to act on climate change.. e.g. I sent an email to the Dutch Prime Minister, my LinkedIn contact, asking him to use his power and Vote! people have the power. rise up & stand up. Economy comes from Community. if you are a doctor, help people if you are a teacher teach people if you don't know who you are, be somebody... its the people who have the power..
