do you ever have awkward moments when he comes home after long periods of time or is it just like old times?
-
how do you and your husband stay close as a married couple when you are apart for long stretches of time? also how do you cope with the worry that he may be somewhere dangerous?

My husband spent all his enlisted Navy career with the Marines& was in Iraq a yr as a combat RP. So I guess I know the Marines way of life more than the Navy, LOL. But now, He's graduated from OCS & is a Surface Warship Officer, so he's stuck on a ship & I live somewhere else til the big deployment ends. I didn't really get treated well by officers wives , soooo I kinda wish I had the opportunity to live more of the Navy life before I became an Officer's wife. I still feel out of place a bit :)

Did having a military family make you want a military spouse?
When your husband is away, are there still "little fights"? (i.e. forgetting to pay a bill, disagreements in budget, questioning where the other one is when you can't get a hold of them?)
How often do you talk to him, and what is your main form of communication when he is away? Do you use snail mail ever?

@AbbieJolie My husband is a military pilot - and I bet aviation have the highest rate of separation... it's his job to go away and when he's home (he's currently deployed) he does it daily and often gone for days or weeks or more! I have some friends who are military MD's and a friend who's a dentist and I had wondered if that would be like a 9-5 job and why, why, why couldn't my husband just do that! *grin*

My husband is a pilot in the army and currently deployed to Afghan! Hoo-rah military wives!

My bf is in the army. We started talking while he was in Iraq. Now we live together. He said that there's a chance he would have to deploy to Afghanistan. I'm really not looking forward to that since we're practically together everyday(other than drill weekends and such of course). I'm not sure what to ask, but I'm sure your video will help me. :) Thanks Irene!

marine wife :]

I was just wondering in your opinion is it better to get married before or after he enlists? It's not a question of if we're gonna get married, we are regardless, I'm just curious about the timing...if one is better than the other. Thank you:)

Have you found good online support groups for military wives? I'm newly wed to an army guy, and only found one place so far.

I am a Navy wife as well...so I don't really have any questions for you, since I know what being a Navy wife is like, but I am glad that you will be doing this video!

how many times have you moved ?
-
So happy you're back on this channel. It's a fun way to get to know you. I'm a Navy mom so I have some idea. But I think it's MUCH harder to be a Navy wife. You do it with grace,Irene. xo Ter

-have you been on a tiger cruise before? how was it like?
-how many times has he been deployed and how long was his longest deployment?
-how do you both spend the last few months/weeks before he gets deployed again?
-what are the things you usually send him (care packages)?
-what do you do when there is a problem that arise while he's out for deployment?
-how do you keep in touch with each other?
-how often does he send mail/call you when he's out?
thanks again Irene! love you!

I don't have any specific questions but this seems like a great topic and I am very interested in watching the video/series. I have no military info so it would be cool so see how you communicate when he's away and what you do to make it easier when he is gone.

you are God sent to me Irene! :) so glad you made a video like this... My husband is also in the Navy and he is a Corpsman (HM). He is currently attached to a guided missile cruiser and they go underway every month in preparation for their deployment next year. (That will be his very first deployment since he joined in)
-what are the things you do so you can set aside the worries/feelings since he's gone?
-how do u communicate when he's deployed?
-is it better to live on or off base?
thank you
-
Thank you ;) I'm a navy wife myself. My husband is a Sub officer in Bangor, WA

I don't have any questions specifically, but I'd just like to say thank you for filming this.I don't have experience with any of this, but I just think that navy/military spouses are so so strong. It may not seem a big deal to you, but I think the bravery and strength from spouses is incredible.

My fiancé and I are expecting our first child and he has started the process of going into the Navy. Is it more beneficial to get married before he is enlisted? And even though our child is still unborn will he still be consider my fiancés dependent?
I hope these questions don't seem dumb or anything. Thanks Irene :)

@lilbronxgirl2002 No. It doesn't matter really. The Navy will cover your medical expenses only if you're married so when you get married versus when he enlists is up to you. The Navy should still cover your child's expenses as long as his name is on the birth certificate but keep in mind that any expenses to HAVE the child will not be covered by Tricare (the Navy's medical insurance) unless you are married.
