The conservative Heartland Institute is holding their annual climate change summit, where they hope to convince those in attendance that climate change is just a liberal hoax. It should come as no surprise that Heartland was founded and is funded by some of the biggest polluters in America. Mike Papantonio talks about what's really driving Heartland's climate change denial with Brendan DeMelle, executive director and managing editor of DeSmogBlog.com.

The cooling is based on 1998 onwards, this video exposes that as cherry picking. 1998 was one of the warming years on record. Try 1900 onwards and see the real story. Check out the ocean temperature and ice thickness data and you will feel sick that an organisation like this can make it a political argument.

Here in America, for example, the weather's been like hell on Earth with record-shattering heat and suffocating humidity with no relief in sight. Heat indexes have exceeded 120 degrees Fahrenheit in some places here in the midwest. Down in the south, furnice-like heat coupled with the worst drought in history has been leading to the worst wilfires on record, livestock death, and crop failure.

Uk and Ireland are yet again having record low temperatures and massive record rain falls. Coldest summer since 1981. We were told that in Dublin there water system is so leaky that the city would need to introduce water restrictions if they go 10 days without rainfall. So far we have not needed to introduce any restrictions as the rain and the cold never stops.
