On the 21st day of their hunger strike outside the White House, U.S. families of Camp Ashraf residents demanded for the establishment of permanent UN station in Ashraf for protection. On the 20th day they paid tribute to Ali Asghar Yaqoub Pour, a Camp Ashraf residents and a Protected Person under the Geneva Convention, who was wounded during the criminal attack on Camp Ashraf. Mr. Yaqoub Pour, who was badly wounded by gunfire and ran over b an Iraqi military vehicle, died Monday in a U.S. military hospital. On July 28, 2009, in a bid by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to fulfill the wishes of tyrant Ali Khamenei in Iran, the Protected Persons of Camp Ashraf came under barbaric and unprovoked attack by the Iraqi forces. So far 11 defenseless Iranian dissidents living in Camp Ashraf are dead, nearly 400 wounded and 36 kidnapped. The U.S., as the legal protector of Ashraf residents since 2003, is legally and morally bound to prevent further bloodshed.
