I wish my Dad had wanted to be part of my life. Growing up without him was really hard because even if a father is not in your life, he's always in your heart.

@Leekduck He didn't say it was worse than the holocaust. He said it was the worst thing to happen SINCE the holocaust. I don't agree with his hyperbole, but the laws in this country are now massively discriminatory against men.

I provide both family and parenting support within my work for my local community safety team and as such support both male and female victims of DV. It is not an issue of gender but rather of some individuals both male and female who have control issues. All DV is wrong and should not be tolerated.

Why did you get married again? You're setting yourself up to get fucked a second time. There's nothing you can do with a wife that you can't do with a girlfriend.

My new wife is completely different from my 1st. She had the opposite problem with her ex who refused to stay in regular contact with his 2 children. I witnessed her trying really hard to get him to spend time with them. In the end she had to accept defeat. We now have 2 children of our own and because of our past expriences we are both determined to repect each other as parents whatever might happen in the future. I am very lucky as she is one in a million

Well, I'm not judging your individual situation and I hope it works out for you. I just can't understand why some men seem to be gluttons for punishment. I've heard of men going through four, five, six divorces and getting screwed in every one and STILL not learning his lesson. Besides the fact that I can't understand what objective benefit a man gains from being married? Traditionally a wife was a useful thing to have for household chores etc; but now women don't want to do that anymore so...
