Occupy Los Angeles, Day #3 - March on Financial District

Day #3 of Occupy Los Angeles has come and gone. Here I sit hunched over my keyboard near 1a.m. in the morning with the biggest grin on my face.

Why am I smiling?

I'm smiling because I am alive to participate and be witness to this massive shift in global consciousness, I am smiling because I am inspired and optimistic.

The mood today was absolutely electric!

Being that it was a Monday everyone was guessing how much different it would be than the weekend. We're happy to report several hundred people have been holding the fort down while a few other several hundred leave for their day jobs and return to the occupation after the work day. People are committed to this occupation, this movement and it is a beautiful process to watch unfold.

There is a sense that this occupation isn't going anywhere anytime soon and the energy is building!

If you're in the Southern California area please come join us and let your voice be heard. We have gathered in peace for change and we would like you to come stand, sit, breath and love together.

RON PAUL has never voted to raise taxes. He has never voted for an unbalanced budget. He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership. He has never voted to raise congressional pay. He has never voted to increase the power of the execuctive branch. He voted against the Patriot Act. He voted against the Iraq War. @vikingvic I LOVE RON PAUL but WE have to realize fixing what is wrong here will require US not one man. I love what Ron represents but WE ALL NEED to be our own Ron Paul's and speak up, show up, educate ourselves and realize WE are the only thing we can change to change the world. I SAY YES to voting for Ron but do it consciously recognizing that he's NOT the solution rather only a small part and each of us as individuals is the most important factor to the REVOLUTION. @b0ondockz Hmm with respect, actually what we need is everyone from youtube to SHOW UP at the occupation and express themselves however they feel called. What we need is for others not to judge or have opinions and recognize there is a greater calling that can have us look past the things that may disturb us or things we don't fully understand. Last I checked "La Raza" means THE PEOPLE, THE FAMILY, etc. If you don't consider yourself a part of that family that is your perspective... I AM LA RAZA

I don't have debt and I have 2 jobs and am also going to school, i don't have time to join this........ I think they should occupy Hollywood first.... Hollywood produces too many bad movies and bad music that eat away people's brains and morals. These people never complained about how the celebrities make hundreds of millions just by selling all kinds of craps. I bet all these people have credit card debts that paid for the movie tickets, cable TVs, music downloads, etc...

I don't see any point in this. There are countless places where the occupy movement has gone into some kind of rioting - and it's not getting anything done, except cause traffic and make me late for work. I get protesting is great, cool, exercise your democratic right. But if we want change, we need to focus on cleaning house when it comes to Government.

Wow, Generation X is suddenly gettin' spiritual. And here I thought they hated their parents and only wanted to make money! When they start asking us for our opinions and about our experiences when we were their age, then I'll start listening to them.

@jjcatful ... "Guess what... the Malibu cops will beat your lazy,nasty ass.' Errr..... there are no Malibu sheriffs anymore. They shot a nice old rich man 15+ years ago for his land. North Hills answers calls in the area, now. The Malibu sheriffs station is long abandoned.
