Congrats on your continued weight loss. I was banded in July and just had my second fill done. I've had the exact same problems as you have had with not being able to get a fill done without an xray. It's not common according to my doctor, but it can happen to some people (regardless of your weight). My fill doctor is able to do the fill for me fine under xray. Take care and stay in touch. Cass x

I keep thinking about having the lap-band.
What keeps from doing it is mainly two things.
I love my diet Coca Cola's and I hear I will never be able to have carbonated drinks again.
Also, I hear that lap-band does not take the hunger pains away.
How have you handled these two things?

I never read or was told anything about carbonated drinks. I've had some with no problems but I guess that is something to ask a doctor.
You will still have hunger pains but it takes so much less food now to calm them. The whole idea is that you will eat less and fill more full. Some people eat 6 snack size meals a day instead of 3 bigger meals.
