Actually, Dustin Pedroia got the cover last year. So it's 2 straight AL years. They only haven't picked Pujols because he's been on the cover of 2 games already. MVP 2004, and The Bigs.

As much as I love to hate Pujols (I am an Astros fan) I have to say him on the cover would be long overdue. This guy is a beast and is in the class a la Mantle, Cobb, Ruth etc...This guy is a legend in the making and is a sure thing for the Hall if nothing happens i.e. injury or "Charlie Hustle" type of situation. No holes,legendary patience, supreme power, constant adjusment, cool headed. 50 years from now I can tell my grandkids I saw Prince Albert play ball. That coming from an Astros fan!
