  • I've always loved the Russian approach to aerospace. Solid, basic engineering, no frills construction, multiple redundancy, etc. It may not be "pretty," but it is beautiful in its reliability and ruggedness. A lot of Russian technology may appear old, but that is only because the design is so perfect it doesn't need to change. If I ever get a chance to visit space, I would definitely choose to travel with Russia.

  • Moore electronic systems on board, moore compurters, moore digital systems...worst it is !

Old russian mechanical systems works 101% reiable in space for decades now!

  • @salakast Same with the Shuttle, and unlike the Shuttle, Soyuze had many more near fatlaties

  • @BernieEOD out of hundreds and hundreds of flights, only 2 mishaps happened. do you realize how good that is?

  • @RK831 The Shuttle was not unsafe. NASA was and IS unsafe. Challenger was murder. NASA over rode the manufacturers and order a launch outside of its design envelope. Columbia new it had a problem and NASA once again blew it off.

  • @smokinsumganja Only because it carried more people

  • @BernieEOD Yea, but the shuttle has had more actual fatalities and is now retired from service..

  • The SpaceX Dragon will be more capable. It's time for the Russian Space Agency to come up with something newer. This design has been around since the 60s... I know it has been upgraded many many times but it's time to create something that can do more.

  • @kirza94 Soyuz has had 2 also plus a great number of mission failures and near fatalities. One being where the capsule landed in a lake and nearly suffocated the crew.

  • @SovietBear91 Correction, the Soyuz rocket has over 850 flights, not the spacecraft. The SHuttle has put more Astronauts into orbit than all of the "Retro spam cans" Which has ever flown combined.

  • @RK831 Both the Shuttle and Soyuz have had 2 total failures. Unlike the Shuttle, Soyuz has had many near fatalities and many mission failures.

  • @diaster And the Americans didnt steal from the Germans? please...stop acting as if Americans are 100% original
