@Bugsyboy333 Yes the stuffing will stick. My wife makes these all the time. The olive oil and butter make it stick. The only difference is that my wife does not trim the tips off. They are good.
@Bugsyboy333 You pluck off the leaves and scrape the stuffing and tender meat of the leaf off with your top teeth. ( Think of how it looks to lick a reed, like when playing a clarinet)
@weroku1 It's a demonstation, of course she cooked them two at a time. Can you imagine if you had to watch her prepare 12 artichokes? Or are you suggesting the artichokes would just be there but we would never actually see them prepared? Quite impractical.
Hmm..I have never, never seen an artichoke stuffed this way- it seems impractical to cook them 2 at a time- can you imagine how long this would take if you were making dinner for a group? Much easier to par boil the lot and use a stuffing with some moisture. Butter, maybe some sausage..a little chicken broth..Stuff after par-boil then bake in the oven -MUCH better!

@tulip2111 That's my point. Why stuff it then?
The stuffing won't stick to "the tender part". It'll collect on the inedible parts or fall off the side.
That's why I wanted to see her tackle it.
Because otherwise, it seems a very impractical dish.

She shows how to make it, but not how to eat it.
Size of a softball on your plate; how do you tackle it?
