August 22, Tommy Hanson's strong start pushed the Braves to a 4-3 victory over the Marlins, going 7 innings, 4 hits, 3 ERs, 7 SOs

Hanson picked up another lose in a weird way, when he only pitched 2.0 innings because of a two hour rain delay and he only allowed 1 run but the braves couldn't match the phillies

Tommy Hanson is just nasty with his pitches. He'll throw a few no-hitters and one day become the All-Time Strike-out King (surpassing Randy Johnson).

You need to amend your statement when you said he was the 1st rookie ever to beat the Red Sox and Yankees in back to back starts. He was the first National League rookie to achieve the feat. Not overall. (I have been a huge Braves fan since 1980 when I was 3. I watched every one of Hanson's starts. Don Sutton was the one that pointed out the feat.)
