generator noise. Finally got around to doing something about the loud generator. It's very quiet now and when I build a sound proof small shed for it it will be whisper quiet.

  • you think the noise is going to be contained in the silver flexible exhaust pipe? its all going to dessipate before it reaches the exhaust

  • @FrenchValleyAirport this video was done over a year ago. ive used the genny many times since then and the noise has been reduced significantly.its so quiet that you can hear the hum of the actual generator. so im guessing that most of the noise is being muffled. im happy with it and its quiet enough for my liking which is what matters ,right?

  • @bctruck well im just saying that hose is too long, thats like put a 1 mile long hose and expecting the sound to reach the muffler. but if you like it ok...

  • @FrenchValleyAirport ive seen people who have ran far longer lengths of pipe to run the generator inside the garage and run the pipe under the door to exhaust to the outside. it seems to work for them as well. do you have a genny youve tried this on? do you have a vid? i scoured the internet to see what worked and what didnt before i decided to go this route. your not going to make it totally silent but you can go a long way towards reducing the noise .

  • @FrenchValleyAirport im telling you its not. i dont know how you can argue with me since you dont have this generator sitting in your shed like i do.your just imagining things and ive got physical proof that it works. why are you continueing this? if you can do something better, please do it and post a video. if you just want to argue about something i can prove works then i dont know what to tell you.

  • Very nice!

  • @bctruck what im saying is it might be quieter, but without that long ass extension it can be much much quiter, yeah it probably made it quite but what im saying is it can be better... anyways

  • @bctruck its a really good setup, just that aluminum exhaust hose (or whatever it is) is too long, you should of just made an elbow and connected the cherrybomb all the sound is escaping that exhaust tube...

  • @backyardsounds man if you woke charlton, your compressor is reeeeeealy loud. mine is loud also but it doesnt run constantly so i can live with it. the only thing i can think of to remedy the loud compressor problem is to build a tiny buildin/closet up against the outside wall of your shop and moving it in there.
