  • Thank you spiritdei for this, last year was a very good year for Kings College I thought, loved this deeply. Are you posting videos of the service on thursday?

  • You're welcome! Most definitely I will be posting. I am out of the country at the moment but they should be up in a couple of weeks.

  • Impeccable as always, almost as good as John's.

  • Who are the soloists? I love the treble & tenor soloists' beautiful voices.

  • "In the bleak midwinter" also features the same tenor. I like his unpretentious style.

  • I was unfamiliar with this carol until I saw this video. The soloists were spot on, and the piece was very moving. Thank you for posting it.

  • soft, pure and delicate, just like a sweet baby <3

  • This is just wonderful performance. I kept this sevice (primarily for this song) on my Sky + box for over a year but then the drive went pop so now have lost it. I should have DVD-R'd it but never got round to it!

It is a superb performance by all but particularly the boy soprano. All the commercial versions don't have the variation of men voices which just adds so much to the overall.

If any of the performers are reading this WELL DONE just brilliant!

    Thank you for posting.

  • Sublime. Wonderful.

  • Beautiful song. I love the parts when the whole choir is singing very quit and the solist just a bit harder.. lovely

  • Not sure the boy is having trouble, but then again my ear is somewhat untrained in this type of music. I have this hmyn in Alfred Deller's "Holly And The Ivy", and cannot get through this without tears.

  • This is one of the most beautiful tenors I've ever heard! So pure! Truly truly beautiful!!
