Sounds like she had problems hearing her foldback monitor. The tempo of this piece, however, is what is truly frightening--no feeling whatsoever. This is far from her work on Jobim music heard elsewhere, where she is the best!

Tokyo, I have to agree. Many artists eventually wind up doing imitations of themselves. Real shmaltz. It's sad. Do it with real feeling or don't bother.

Well....you and me know that Gal Costarecorded LOTS of LOTS of albums ,dvd's cd's ao vivo....everything! but people will alwayz ask her to sing GIRL FROM IPANEMA ,if she doesn't sing that song.....people could be dissapointed about the concert ....besides that song represents Brazil everywhere.
I saw Gal Costa performing in Peru in 2002 ..i was 22 ,by the first time of my life i saw her right in front of me ,and I was desperate to see her performing thi song..so Gal is The best in Brasil
