eric clapton is said to overdub the album with bull fight audience noise. jimmy did have a legal injunction in place to prevent all companies from releasing it on cd...but in 2000, a cd copy was released by Mooreland street records, but most releases are now out of print.

@rialcnis I don't think he actually has the masters I think they are mislabeled I mean Epic is no friend of Jimmy Page if they gave him tapes it was not the masters (LOL) i have never been able to verify with Jim about Jimmy using a tape machine we know Keith did all the time. But I bet jimmy did like most guitar players. I have an old interview where he mentions hearing the fillmore show with Beck rumors of Graham giving Hopkins copies of tapes . I know the Fillmore may 68 shows were done

Page should have had the tapes all mastered properly rather then killing the album altogether.

I can understand holding back till better quakuty but holding it back forever is nasty. What other tapes does Page have for that era?

@rialcnis my theory about the so called audience tape of the anderson not the one epic did but differen one this one was recorded none other than jimmy himself. Note that on the audience tape sound checks were recorded kind of hard to do if the audience was not allowed in? 2nd this tape is heavy on guitar mix, 3 the tape appeared shortly after jimmy stated taht some of his personal tapes were stolen. Jimmy's lawyers were more interested in teh sound check than anything else (LOL)

I was there too.  I was 19 years old. best concert ever. First a ride on the great White Steamship, then the best concert ever. I only regret i didn;t sneak in a recorder.

No, they played at the old Casino on Catalina Island. I was a kid so I don't remember much other than being floored that Page was playing bass. And that Keith told the audience at the end that they had to end 'cause Jeff didn't have any strings left! LOL.
