This is a video of the maiden flight of JETSTREAM, a scaled up replica of a balsa wood rubber band powered glider by artist Mark Clews for the exhibition 'Learn To Fly' in London, 2006.

The plane is based on the exact dimensions of the toy 'Jetstream'

  • fantastic and hilarious totally got it thanks for FINALLY making that vision we have all had a million times of flying a large rubber balsa plane, real !!!! Totally cool, thanks :)

  • yes @homebuiltindoorplane - you got it. Thank you

  • hey this video is real cool there is not reason to fly, there is not reason to film , and there is not reason to have fun great video tnx i wast my time in a good way

  • yes @moreno747 - thank you

  • Um I'm thinking this was fake because of 2 reasons. For starters there were no control surfaces and secondly the category was film and animation....

  • @codymannthedestroyer it's not fake, it falls into the film bit of 'film and animation'. There is nothing animated in it. All real working parts. And there are no control surfaces because the balsa wood toy I based the plane on didn't have any. Thanks for watching

  • The thumbs down are from stupid people who thought that the plane actually would fly.

  • @skorpen2 Considering the word flight is the second word of the video's title, that's a reasonable assumption to make when clicking the link . . .

  • get an e3ngine buddy

  • Since this took place at Dunsfold, I was have expecting the Stig from Top Gear to go driving by in a supercar at a high rate of speed kicking up a rooster tail of water onto the thing. That was... weird. Almost in a Monty Python kind of way (the video needs some silent film music to compliment it).

  • 5:13 of my life I'll never get back.

  • Complements to the pilot for such a smooth landing ;-)

  • his arms must be really sore from turning that propeller... and that jack ass pilot just sitting and relaxing...

  • cant fly

  • que mierda de avion!

  • Could'nt be better!! Even more useless object than a kite, it took my time in a wonderfull way, thanks!

  • If you ever make a video that wastes my time like this again im hunting you down and killing you....
