That's the difference between Senna and others who have more titles. He have won races with a very inferior car. Could you imagine Shumacher wining races driving a Toyota, for example?

Nigel Mansell was the only PROPER adversary of Ayrton Senna. Everybody else was just a pretender... Of course Senna was better, but still, NIGEL was THE BEST OF THE REST. It is a great shame Frank Williams didn't pick Senna for 1984. Senna and Williams 1984-1994 would bring MANY more titles for both the team and the driver. I think this was the single biggest management failure in the history of mankind. Or at least Formula One. :-))) No, actually, the biggest error is me not in F1. :-))

@BrooneyH2V the 1994 Williams was considered to be a very twitchy car to drive and the 1995 Benetton ran the "works" Renault engine so it was more than a match for the Williams. That said Schumacher was a great driver just because you're in the best car doesn't mean you're guaranteed to win the World Championship you still have to win races. Put simply Schumacher will go down as one of the greats but Senna will go down as the greatest.

@marcioaguiar1985 Piquet won with Brabham 2x against superior Ferrari, Renaults, Ligiers, Williams, etc

@Norear The Lotus 98T was one of the best cars of 1986 when Ayrton Senna drove it. With anyone else, not so good. The same was true of the McLaren MP4/8 of 1993.

@marcioaguiar1985 We can't compare the Lotus with a Toyota but indeed, Schumacher can't be compared to Senna. We have to remember that, in this GP, Senna didn't stop for tires, trying to stay in front as he had an inferior car. Mansell's Williams was the class of the field, he was on fresh rubber at this point and was like a manic after Senna. Senna had to struggle with just one set of tires for the entire GP, and he had to save them as well for that final stint. Pure genius, simply the best.
