I really like this cover.Brandon's voice is just so heartbreaking...I LOVE IT!

I prefer the original version... and i always listen to it.. it's kinda my favorite song.. but i have to say that the video of the original one is very ugly...

Gotta admit that the dire straits version is far superior, but I think the killers bring a nice little flair to the song!

Not a bad cover, but the original is a true epic *(besides it doesnt start with a electic guitar like this one, but style 0 resonator guitar). I also prefer Knopfler voice, it gives the song more emotion, and check out one of his live versions, the emotion in his eyes.

What is sad, is that this one has already over 4 million views, but the original versions most viewed video only has over 300.000 views.

Of course people have different tastes, but i bet many here heard this one before the original and therefore now kind of like THIS one more then then original.

This is a great cover of the original, but the original was already surpassed by dire straits themselves with their version on ALchemy tour - man that was an amazin version!! gets me how direstraights are better live !!!

I am from an older generation but enjoy this cover more than the origonal
