It was later dtermined the house was under rehab, there were two workers in the house that made it out safe. Fire investigators from Porter County F.I.S.T. Team were on scene working. • @pfc884 No dude, you gave yourself a bad name all by yourself. First off learn how to spell and second off, running around the internet talking shot about other departments is not professional and can actually get you kicked off your department. I have seen it happen. Use spell check when trying to insult people, makes you look somewhat intelligent.

  • @wowHandOfFaith Where we come from we call you a motor mouth that doesn't know what he is talking about. You can ask anyone out here, especially the police if I am starting fires. And I stick up for the facts. You people wants to run your mouths about a 5-10 minute video when an incident takes up to 2 -3 hour. Unless you were there to see what was going on you should have a little self control and shut the hell up

  • That woman in the background needs to shut her mouth and let the firefighters work.

  • @guitpla304 no because the left side of the building was a lost cause and the air that the water pushes into the fire can actually push the fire through the building and cause more damage that way so where he was he could enter the building and push it back to where the car port area was

  • @guitpla304 This actually makes the fire progress in to the house.

  • @JamesHusky21 I understand the principals of PPV. I suppose what I'm asking is if PPV ever used with Fire Fighters still in the building or is it strictly when it is known that there is nobody in the risk area?

Obviously property damage isn't too much of a burden to bear, but if you got it wrong and it worsened the conditions for those inside I'd imagine I would feel pretty bad about that.

  • Anyone who goes anywhere near this sort of thing has massive cajones!

  • it looks to me like he is just watering the flowers around the house.

  • Part 2 :

In the Moment where oxygen is there the Gases combusting and there even the Firefigthers protection Gear don´t Help very much..The Heat is so exrem high that all in the Way get ignited.Typical is,that the Fire in the Room after the combustion get blown out.(Like to see here in the video at 1:46 min.).The left side is still burning after the Falshover and the right room where the last Window is is a short Flame visible.

This is the difference between a Flashover and a Backdraft.

  • Backdraft:

A Backdraft is much more Powerfull than a Flashover. There is a Room with much Heat ,but no open Flames mostly even some smoldering and very low Oxygen but burnable Stuff..

So it like in the Movie "Backdraft" that the Fire can burn because low Oxygen, but the Heat let Gas exhausing from all inside the Room.when you are at the door and somke come und go from under the Door NEVER open it or you get GRILLED....

The Heat only waiting for somebody the bring Oxygen.

    Continue in Part 2

  • To Explane the difference between Flashover and Backdraft: :

Flashover All Stuff in a Room get Heated up so it vapour gas. This Gases are very hot and can burn. When there is enough Heat the Gas ingnite Good Example is the Video om YT where a x-mas Tree burns in a Room.Near the End all in the Room Ignite even away from the Flames. There Is Qxygen,Heat ,a open Flame, and Burnable Stuff.

  • Look at 1:40 min. First is there a Flashover..just after the Glass broke. But then some seconds later you can clearly heear the "Pfffft" like air is sucked in.Then you see at the last Window shortly falmes that after the Pfft dissapear. That was a small Backdraft. The Air sucking Sound just before it happens come from much Heat but very low Oxygen. Not much happens until Qxygen is avivable. Then the overheated room get ingulfed in Falmes in miliseconds.A Deathly Trap for very Firefighter.
