The assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar, from the 2002 miniseries Julius Caesar. Caesar was assassinated on the Ides [15th] March 44BC, by fellow Senators and by men he thought his friends. He had been made Dictator Perpetuo [Dictator for Life] earlier that year, and his assassins feared he would make himself King.
