ThinkPad T Series mobile workstations are where serious design meets serious performance. Advanced components and graphics combine with legendary ThinkPad design for an unparalleled mobile workstation experience. The NVIDIA Quadro® NVS 140M GPU provides great 3D performance and razor sharp image quality. NVIDIA's unified architecture is the industry's first to dynamically allocate geometry, shading and pixel processing power to deliver optimized GPU performance. The Lenovo ThinkPad T61u 6457-DSU Notebook PC comes equipped with an Integrated Fingerprint Reader and 32-byte pre-boot password protection to help guard against external threats. Together with preloaded ThinkVantage Client Security Solution software, you have an integrated security solution right out of the box. There is even an option to disable all input and output ports on the BIOS level, as a final layer of protection for your information.

  • this thing sucks balls... i mean i miss it but... maybe its just laptop quality nowdays... so cheap and flimsy

  • I've got one coming but the 100GB HDD Is laughable when I run 3TB in my pc and 320GB in my ORIGINAL xbox

  • @2fast4uspartan No flex, stainless hinges connecting two magnesium castings, screen rollcage and main chassis.

  • These can be had for cheap and pimped for 8Gb ram and 2.5Ghz CPU also very cheap. Problem is the nVidia 140 or 570 will die unless the machine was built after July 08. Problem is there is a very small window of machines built after that date. The reason they are extra cheap is the nVidia death is well documented and people steer clear as a result. Not many older laptops give WEI of mid 6`s for most indexes, barring the feeble 4.0 for the GPU.

  • Search google for "middleton bios" if you own one of these laptops or its brothers from the same period. SLIC 2.1, whitelist and best of all SATA2 speed instead of the Lenovo crippled SATA1 interface. You will see a new lease of life if you spend 75 of the main currencies on a Crucial M4 64Gb SSD and writes will top 108Mb/s with reads at a pleasant 286Mb/s. Current middleton BIOS is 2.29, it is simply a modded BIOS and he offers it free. It works, I type this comment on such a machine.

  • lenovo is crap don't buy it

  • I used to have a T61, it was great except the crappy nVidia GPU which eventually died, but it's not Lenovo's fault, almost all nvidia gpus die over time... After that I bought old T60p with the 4:3 Flexview which I find to be times better, sturdier and problem free.

  • @sagen888 that's the beauty of it though.

  • This is very good machine, maybe the best notebook ever.

  • :)
