@MrJuha82 That's somewhat speculative because there isn't really any good footage that shows what happened in the fight. All we have to go on is a TERRIBLE quality video that shows Nystron slipping to the ice and Mel landing some shots on him. Sure you can say Mel won the fight, but we have no context to it since we can't see it all. What happened at the start? Most of those crappy fights I don't even consider fights. Was Bob decked? Did Mel sucker him? I sure as hell can't tell.

@MrJuha82 How do you figure he beat Playfair and lost to Bridgeman? The fight with Playfiar was one of the best and most even fights ever. Niether guy got any kind of advantage in that fight. And as far as I know he only lost once to Cochrane.

@SCROGY yes he was talented but his fight card dont make a big impression.
He still scored wins over Playfair, Bridgman for example. lost to Cochrane couple times on the other hand. Draw with Hoyda etch. Not best of all the time, not even Top10 fighter of all the time, to me his fair/right rank is somewhere 10-14 as i ranked him for 13 place.

this is one of the sickest beatings in NHL history. I was wondering where I could find a list of the top 10 worst beatings ever. certainly this one would make it. others that come to mind are cochrane on brubaker in 1985, probert domi II, Simon on Probert in 1996 playoffs, brashear on Mccarthy in 2001 preseason, dave brown on stu grimson in 1990, jay miller on craig berube in 1988, laraque on rob ray in 1999, twist on rob ray (in 96 I think).
