I would have liked to put a bit more time into detailing the production on this one but things are a little busy for me right now...nevertheless, this interview is back by popular demand, or as I like to say, for Pete's Sake ; ) (inside joke)

Natasha Khan (born 25 October 1979), also known by her stage name "Bat for Lashes", is an English musician. She sings and plays the piano, bass, guitar, harpsichord and the autoharp.
Khan's debut album, Fur and Gold, released on 11 September 2006, peaked at #48 on the UK Album Charts and went on to be nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2007. In 2008, Khan also picked up two BRIT nominations for Best Breakthrough Artist and Best Female, leading to growing media attention.
Khan's second album, Two Suns, released on 6 April 2009, reached #5 on the UK Album Charts and #17 on the Irish Album Charts. The first single released from the second album, "Daniel", charted within the top 40. The second single, "Pearl's Dream", was released on 22 June 2009. The album Two Suns was also nominated for the Mercury Prize. Khan herself was up for Best Female Solo Artist at 2010's BRIT Awards.

  • Thanks for resurrecting this insightful interview. Tho you feel you could’ve improved it, yet for Pete’s/my sake, glad you didn’t keep us waiting! Great to know ‘Glass’'s 2nd sun is her beloved’s blinding heart, with the lovers perhaps orbiting each other like an eclipsing binary system. It's also an extended metaphor for difficult relationship with her boyfriend & NY). What Tash says at 6:43 about how ‘Daniel’s beats ‘drive you forwards without interfering too much’ reflects your use of effects

  • @TheReplenishingFlame thanks rep...i tried not to do too much for Pete's sake/Rep's Sake! haha cheers

  • 7:04 ...Natasha has mind powers!

Anyway, I gotta stop feeling jealous when she speaks of boyfriends. Lovely interview!

  • @NeilIndieFilms09 don't worry...we're all jealous as well : )
