The standard set for this animation was pretty high: animated faces by head-swapping, up to 6 figures making a story of their own in the same shot and overall realistic animated figures. Unfortunately, due my move another country, I was never able to finish this. But this way of Lego animation is really unseen before. So make sure to see the whole clip, as it gets better by the second. Watch it again to see all the action on the background. If you like animating with Lego yourself, you will find this very inspiring. Remember, this clip is not finished, so there is a lot of rough sound effects and some animation that would have needed extra work.

Voices of cartoonists from Tegnestue Gimle from Copenhagen, Denmark with the addition of actress Line Leonhardt.

  • What camera did you use?

  • @LegoSantaMoss: You could use any camera, but in this case I had an old Sony DV camera DCR-VX1000E. It's tape deck is unreliable, but the camera still works. It has a 3CCD lens, so excellent to use for stop-motion.

  • Also how much did you buy istopmotion for? And is it really good when it comes to animating?

  • @toontownlegomaster: I have the €99 version. If you're into stop-motion, it's absolutely worth buying!

  • Hey can you make a tutorial on how to make a lego mini figure walk smoothly.

  • @toontownlegomaster: That's already been done several times. Search on YouTube for 'How to do a lego walk cycle'

  • Amazing animation and story. This makes me want Legos now. The camera and lighting is beautiful. I like the microscale of legos. you can do more in small spaces. Playmobil takes up lots of space.

  • @macnavi I know but I want to see how you do it.

  • @macnavi Cool, did you also do the voice acting, because it's fantastic!

  • Loved the animation.
