Contributing to society after retirement

Mukul Joshi has been controlling traffic in Noida since February 2004.
During summer he is seen at certain traffic crossings between 6pm to 7pm and in winter between 5pm to 6pm.
Born in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Joshi took premature retirement from the armed forces in 1970 while he was in Uttaranchal.
He came to Noida in 1995 and lives at B-56, Sector 21.
He is an English Literature graduate from Agra University.
He is supported in his efforts by his two sons, Captain Niraj, a merchant navy officer in Singapore, and Rajiv, a test pilot with Indian Air Force.

  • I am exalted at the brilliant service rendered by Mr.Mukul Joshi of NOIDA at the age of 75 in regulating traffic and passing on the message of safety to every road user.If only, the energetic youth of present generation emulate his fine example , the country will be a better place to live in ! A batch mate of mine at Air Force Technical College,.Jalahalli,in the early fifties, he has made our fraternity extremely proud ! His penchant for service is unparalleled and was discernible in youth !
