When I saw this, I broke into tears (my father suffers from early stages of emphysema from years of smoking). I posted this link to my FB page & hope the message saves someone in my life who thinks they can't break the habit & is compelled to beat it. My fiancée smokes. When I say something about her quitting, she either clams-up or works to change the subject, as if I didn't say anything about it at all. I especially hope that she sees how important it is to me that she quits.

My mother is not like that! But the same in a different way. She's always gasping and rattling for breath! But she does cough alot!

This is light. Aunty passed years ago for this disease. She didn't start smoking until she was in her 40s. It still got her. NASTY picture to see. sounded like she was trying to cough up her toes. I was young and didn't fully uinderstand but I actually felt sorry for the suffering and kinda wish her suffering would end. I'm older now and want her here to have fun. So painful and bad. Why would Anyone continue to spend money to die S L O W L Y!? EEEWW hard but TRY anyway! you ARE WORTH more!!

Also- it takes a year to complitely clean your mind and get really free from smokes. I don't feel any urge to start smoking now.

I quit 4 years ago and I'm proud of it. I'm againts baning smokeing or rasing taxes for ciggarettes, but then again- I wouldn't quit smoking if the pack was to buy for a $1.
