The local ITV news did a goal of the season competition in the 1990-91 season, featuring Oxford Swindon & Hereford. Just for fun, put your top 2 favourite goals in the comments and see if they match the eventual two winners (which I shall put on here soon, I'm pretty sure I can remember the actual top two!! though can't remember 3rd place) See what you think.
Hi. I'm a Scum fan, and even I'm forced to admit that Fitzroy's tew pewke at the Kewnty Grewnd doesn't come close to Simmo's rocket in the Toon.
Ahh, but by now you must have seen through my deception...
Quite difficult to hide the fact that I have less than three heads and I'm not slightly wooly, nor am I intimately acquainted with my uncle who is also my sister.
I'm not actually a Moonraker at all, thank God!

Let's be perfectly honest, Fitzroy Simpson's was the best by a country mile.
Those two from Shearer weren't much to speak of. I wonder why they didn't include the two he stuck past Oxford at the Manor that season?

Paul 'Simmo' Simpson's Thunderbolt at St James park for me!! Even some toon fans clapped at Simmo's goal!!
If i'm correct that game ended up 2-2 (Newcastle Utd: Andy Meville OG, Any Hunt scored overhead kick... Ox.Utd: Simpson scored 2 goals)
