Kenyans held for drug trafficking in China
This is not the first time that Kenyans are caught on the wrong side of the law outside Kenya over drugs, so the government has no reason of rescuing criminals who are out to taint the countrys image. Always before traveling these people are always warned and made aware of the penalties that come with drug trafficking and this were not an exception, so they should be left to deal with it. These are among more than 200 Kenyans currently being held in various jails in China, India, Pakistan, UK and other Asian countries over drug-related offence. Many other Kenyans are serving sentences in jails around the world for drug-related offences, but the Government is unaware because they used fake documents, or were not registered with Kenyan missions abroad. A number of them have died in foreign jails.

exactly because these nations are zero-tolerance, which creates the biggest bubble is profit possible. people do risky things out of desperation quite often, its not 'people' - but the way laws attempt (and fail) to override values.

It doesn't bring shame upon my country if a small-time drug mule is caught, it makes the nation dishing out the death penalty appear barbaric.
Australian citizens have been executed in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, despite pleas from Prime Ministers. If caught here, they would face only wrist-slap fines or short jail sentences.
That said, these people do know the risks they take smuggling narcotics internationally or using them in countries with zero-tolerance for substance abuse.
