@bishopcotton86 Yes! Jimbo looked like he was breaking down from '79 - 81, like '78 would be his last major. He later revealed that he had back problems during that period (at the time, he never once cried to the media about it). If you watch vids of him during that time, and then compare them to the way he plays here (or v. Mac at Wimbledon a few months earlier), you can see how much stronger he is here. Vindication!!

I was lucky enough to be at this match when I was 14...I had become a Connors fan at 10 and to have the privilege of being one of those crazy fans screaming for him that Sunday was truly wonderful...Thanks for posting this and allowing me to have the great memories again!!
