@TheYanks751 well what the hell did you expect dipshit? You think you can just sign some papers and they say ok you are certified to fly this here multi million dollar fighter jet? You shouldn't have considered joining in the first place because basic training is naturally rough! It is specifically designed to separate the men from the pussies! NO SHIT!!!!!

@ThatVincentGuy this is VERY true. I was in the application process for OTS just recently until I started reading more about what kind of degrees are most selected, average GPAs of selected candidates, etc. I didn't want to waste my time either. Plus, I'm not sure I'd want to be in an officer position anyway. Enlisting with a bachelor's is still good. You graduate BMT as an E-3 rather than an E-2 & it could have an effect on quick you rank up as well. I'm totally with you!!

@warmen0808 You're not enlisting are you? It would be a waste of your degree to enlist instead of going in as an officer. Having a degree as an enlisted man doesn't get you any points. You'll go in with people who are way younger and way less educated than you, and you'll be treated like shit just like them.

@cadreamin45 I'm in my freshman year at college. I haven't even gotten my A.A., can I go once I get it or can I go before? Or do I have to get my Bachelor's degree?

@theprettygirl45 if you want to enlist you don't need any college. If you want to be an officer, you need at least a bachelors degree. If you have a certain number of credit hours, you'll get two stripes right away if you enlist. I can't remember how many credit hrs you need. I would keep going to college if you can afford it and go officer.
