Simply sighting them is cause for elation among the throngs of enthusiasts who seek them out. In this three-volume series we set out to document an example of every Alco model remaining in operation, a journey which takes us throughout North America.

Me like ALCO, my railroad has 2 of them in running condition, both are ex. US Army and US Airforce RSD1 locomotives with 1000 horsepower. One of them can be seen briefly in this video here, #8669 from the Tennessee Valley Railroad. The other is off site and it's number is #8677.
