you need a more precise description to visualize those shoes &...........this version is good background music to "make out" by ..... but to get your body moving larry finnegan had a song called "dear one"

what a great song wonderful harmonies the lead is awesome they where around in the mid fifties as i recall once had a great doowop reference book no sadly missing cheers!!!!!!!.

i'm so excited . . . you are close, but not quite right-on it . . . you say Chicago, 1957 and also 1958. the years are right, and the 1 inch foam/crepe sole (we called them wedgies) i was from West Los Angeles, CA - I recall ours only came in (not real leather) they were either white, black, light pink, or a light blue. I am Mexican-American. We liked the white or black teardrops, and the bunnies too. You slipped your foot into these ( no tying) ,
i have no old pics wearing these shoes.
