How to Solve the Rubik's Cube- 3rd Step: Edges

This video describes how to solve the four edges for the first two layers (F2L).

Algorithms:
Placing Edge to the right: U R Ui Ri Ui Y- the whole cube rotates clockwise Li U L
Placing Edge to the left: Ui Li U L U Yi- the whole cube rotates counterclockwise R Ui Ri

how do u no where it wants to go

you look at the color of the edge that your placing. for example mine might be blue, red, white. to know where it wants to go ignore the color white. so youre left with blue and red. now all you have to do is find the corner spot between the CENTER blue and red

hey I have a question. After I finish the two layers, I got a cross on the top of the cube. But the edges on the cross don't match the 4 center pieces...is that normal? Hmm, do you use AIM so I could communicate with you better?

yes that is normal after you solve the f2l the next step is oll. all your gonna worry for that part is your top color which is yellow don't worry about any other stickers (so that means it doesn't matter if they don't match as long as it has the top cross

Hey if i have an edge open but i already have the color and i need to color on top of it is there anyway that i could get it in that edge? Because i have all of orange solved and i dont have green solved but i have the green and orange edge, What should i do... what is the algorithm

Hey at the end when i try to solve a red edge piece to complete the reds second layer, there are no red edge piece in the middle but there is one on the top but its locked... could you help me out with this
