i have this car for 24 years now, it was a nice car in its era, now people will look at it as trash..its pretty fast & comfortable for a 1.8 litre engine..
@te71se Ah, ok, thanks for clearing that one up. The NZ market recieved a 'facelift' of the V3000 in this generation in 1989-90 that combined the sedan bodyshell with the hardtop's front bodypanels.
@joh2 I know this is a bit late replying, but that isn't correct. Japan had the E18A Galant 'Duke V3000' with the 3.0L SOHC V6 in 1986, along with the Galant V2000 with the 2.0L SOHC V6. The US also got the V6 powered 5th generation Galants starting from the 1988 model year in 1987.
i had this car for 1 year...great engine...2.4L....sucked engine like a monster..but had great power...damn...good old days...untill the ECS suspension died on me...cost beyond the value of the car sold for 400 usd very confortable though
僕が通っていた教習所の教習車がこの5代目ギャランでした。他の教習所は当時のGX80系トヨタクレスタが主流だったのに、FFでしかもノンパワステ、フェンダーミラーだったので結構運転し難かったです。でも、このCMはBGMも好きで、当時土曜日のフジテレビ系「ゴールデン洋画劇場」で必ず流れていました(確か三菱自動車もスポンサーだった記憶があります)。
