Yummy!

@NilsKills they might be bantams
-
@NilsKills nope.
-
@NilsKills They make a LOT of noise when laying. Roosters will crow all day. Even if you live in a city where chickens are legal, I would check with any close neighbors first. 6am gets pretty rowdy in the backyard.
-
@NilsKills Eggs from the store come in all sizes, but all factory farmed chickens are bred for their specific color, laying ability, and weight.

What breed did you get the double yolker from?

@lulubie most of my double yolkers come from my Black Cochin hens

That's so cool. I have 8 hens but never had a double yolk. I have had fairy eggs which are tiny and yolkless. And what I call bullet eggs because my Rhode Island Red lays these really long eggs but they are normal inside.

@destroyahdes I've gotten all kinds of weird eggs - shell-less, double yolks, "bullet eggs", fart eggs. It's always an adventure going into the laying boxes in the morning!
