@MixHypnotic That's because the video taper was capturing footage of the mustang... the subaru wasted enough time on the line. If he would've left when the lights dropped, I'm thinking he would've been in the video ;)

we don't know if the mustang won, it looked like the Subaru had to wait to go. this video shows no proof of either being faster. all we know is the mustang ran a 10.09 and the Subaru didn't go when the mustang did.

@aceracer87 In drag racing... the first guy to cross the line wins... if the guy in the other lane is asleep at the wheel (or having issues), that's his own damn fault. As mentioned, the mustang currently runs low 9's at nearly 150mph on a 100hp shot of nitrous. I have no idea what the P&L subie runs now...

@rlsracing01 have you ever been to a drag strip. if they were racing brackets then they dont go off the same tree times. they have independent greens. but neither tree will start until both cars are lined up. thought it is more fun to race on matched up trees

@SirKowalski666 I know, I already took one for a test drive, and it was impressive. The only thing I didn't like was the motor seemed to be a little "rev happy" it didn't have the very low end torque of the old 4.0 but it loved being way up there in the 5k plus rpm range. amazing motor and set up though, when driving it I would have never guessed it was a live rear axle if I didn't already know..the new one out handeled my wrx and out ran it ( even off the line)

@chrisjana75 The new Ford 3.7 v6 is a screamer, even in the f150's it shifts at 7k rpm and puts down as much horsepower as the 4.6 OHC v8's

@gu81singh so you're saying that people are pussies for not running naturally aspirated? Oh wait that's right the sti isn't naturally aspirated its turbo'ed. Kids like you need to understand concepts in racing. Let alone the fact that whoever was driving the subaru didn't know how to launch it. I'm not saying sti's are gay i do like them i'm saying even though that sti had 800hp did it infact have a better power to wieght ratio than the mustang. Woulda been a decent race if the guy could drive
