Journalist, economist, and founder of The American Prospect Robert Kuttner discussed the Obama presidency in light of the financial crisis in the first public lecture of the year at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.

Kuttner said while President Obama's policies may have averted a second great depression, the administration has not made a "radical break" from the previous administration's economic approach.

"The economy has bifurcated," Kuttner told the crowd of students, faculty and staff. "Wall Street has recovered very nicely; its executives are still making huge bonuses. But 'Main Street' has not recovered, and Obama may well pay the political price."
