@sheinemann1 You just saved us. I'm just shaking my head at the simplicity of your solution. And it works... All you have to do is change the file extension for mp4 to mpeg!!!

What a waste of time. Files with the mp4 extension are just mpeg files. Windows Media Player (and therefore PowerPoint) knows what to do with mpeg files. Just change the file extension from mp4 to mpeg and then insert the movie.

Thanks so much! I was able to embedded the video very easily, but when I play it in the slide show, it only plays the first few seconds and freezes. Is there something I can do to fix it, or is it just the video itself (being too large perhaps)?
