I love the movie as it is and screw american re-makes! A movie shouldn't turn into a re-make just because lazy americans doesn't want to read subtitles!

@joffpaice101 I doubt we will ever get a remake. It was a thought at first, but when the virginia tech shooting happened the idea went in production hell. Hunger games was able to be produced compared to the underlying difference in Battle Royale. The students killed the other students whom they knew while, in hunger games the kids are total strangers to each other and neither in the same school background.

@joffpaice101 On 23rd of March The Hunger Games will come out in theaters. It's an awesome story about twelve districts who fight for 3 days in a wide arena. You should watch it. The triology was awesome to read thought ^^

I know it could be seen as quite sacrilegious but they should think about doing an American remake of this film at some point. Just so this brilliant story about survival doesn't get lost from western audiences.
