@geonerd I agree. It's just gayness for gayness sake. It adds nothing to the episode. We get it. They're married & in love. Fine. Besides being in better taste, a few strategically placed tender kisses or loving hugs, would equally convey to us their affection/love for each other. It would serve the same purpose as this 30 seconds shirtless Male on Male make out scene. WTF? Star Trek never had a shirtless Male/Female scene like this one. So there's no need for a Male/Male scene either.

It doesn't bother me that there's gay relationships on Star Trek, nor does it bother me that they're "making out". But the Male on Male scene was completely unnecessary. It's gayness for gays sake & adds nothing to the episode. Standards & Practices would NEVER allow a Male/Female scene like that. (on prime time TV) If we're all "equal" (male, female, gay, race, etc) WHY is it acceptable for 2 MEN to make out while shirtless, but it's unacceptable for for a Male/Female to do the same thing???
