Penangnites took time out last sunday evening to gather at the Esplanade Speakers' Square to show solidarity and support for PPSMI. PAGE (Parents Action Group for Education) is appealing to the Govt to let PPSMI be an option for science and maths to be taught in English. According to Paul Seah, PAGE Penang chapter, the crowd turnout was encouraging and positive. PAGE members took turn to speak to the attentive and supportive crowd. An elderly man could not resist and unschedulely "stole the limelight" to address his disgust to thte Govt for abolishing the PPSMI.
I strongly support that we should learn mother tongue in primary while English in secondary onwards for these two subjects..

Many parents will not their children to secondary school next year! I will sent my daughters to Singapore to stay with her aunt in secondary school in Singapore.
