  • This tune also related to "Jada" and,more closely,to Sonny Rollins' "Doxy"(In fact,producer Michael Cuscuna considered re-naming it "Unorthadoxy")

  • This is based on the changes of a late 20's maybe early 30's tune" Why Do You Do Me Like You Do".Starts off with the very underatted Lou Donaldson,K.D. make his statement very nicely.Strong tenor work from Lucky Thompson,Thelonious comes insounding like nobody but Monk! Nelson Boyd playing hip notes on bass and last but not least Master drummer Max Roach holding down the traps.
