One does not simply walk into Mordor without getting vengeance for his little brother.

1:07 That one sentence completely dates the film.

I've read all of Clancy's books before The Bear and the Dragon. You are all correct that they can be "long".

However, every book has made shivers go up my spine at some point.

Personally, my favorite book was Without Remorse. The revenge theme drawn out was something that should be drawn out and "long".

My least favorite movie was Sum of All Fears.

But when children are targeted like shown in Patriot Games, I say the shooters whether Irish, British, N.Irish, should burn in hell. I think there's been enough stupidity to last and enough blame to go around. Folks hasnt there been enough killing and death to satisfy our blood lust?

From reading the comments I realize there's good & bad on both the Irish & British/N.Irish sides and enough blame to go around. When innocent people especially children are hurt or killed whosever responsible, on whatever side the guilty should pay. Now I'm half Native American, adopted living in an Irish neighborhood, and my parents are full blooded German (father) & full blooded Irish (mother) so I understand where the Irish folks are coming from, have no great love for the British.

Yeah, Clancy can be a little long-winded but it's a good book.
