@lilaspargel actually after he almost got kicked out he woodshedded and became an incredible guitar player..but only in a bob weir kind of way!...listen to some of the work bobby did during some of the chinacat>rider transitions and it will rip your fucking head off..a genius..though here his voice is the main thing..and a magnificent moment for sure.

Actually Bob Weir almost got kicked out of the Dead for not practicing and tripping too much. Not a great guitarist, but a damn unique voice.

Jerry's harmony stands out on this one. It is absolutely and beautifully, mournful
Of course Bob Weir already had a grand voice. I saw them that previous December and they sounded nothing like this, as they were loud and jammin' out.
