The Tragedy of Anakin Skywalker

A video chronicling the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker. It uses the music "the darkside beckons" from ROTJ. Whenever I heard this piece after I saw Episode I, I always felt that it told the entire story of Anakin in one musical phrase. It may not have been intended, but it's such an incredible piece and I really think it "tells" the entire story of Star Wars, and more specifically Anakin. Essentially, these images are what go through my mind while watching that scene in ROTJ; it's not exact, and it didn't end up as I originally thought it would, but I was using the music to tell a story so I had to adhere to that continuity; some things I wanted to do worked, some things didn't. I still like the way it turned out though.

Revenge of the Sith was a great movie. I know it didnt get nominated for many Academy Awards, and the acting wasnt great, and even i would have made major changes. However, George Lucas wrapped up the film flawlessly! The contrast on the operating tables magnifies the sadness of Padme's death, and Vader's rebirth. The music was perfect, as always. Along with dramatic irony, we get Padme's beautiful funeral, Vader's first breath and the binary sunset on Tatooine to end the film. Masterful film!

Getting delimbed, set on fire, and having his heart broken was the best thing that ever happened to Anakin Skywalker. He went from a whiny, infantile, immature fool with the voice of a gay Canadian (you all know which one), to a cunning, ruthless, badass with a voice of an awesome black man delivering the greatest one-liners in history.
