The Drexel Student Alliance (DSA) of the United Nations Association (UNA) of the USA hosted a diverse panel of experts who analyzed the prevailing uncertainty surrounding the nuclear programs being pursued by the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

Geneive Abdo is a fellow and Iran analyst at The Century Foundation (TCF). Before joining TCF, she was a liaison for the United Nations' Alliance of Civilizations, a project created by the U.N. Secretary General to improve relations between Western and Islamic societies. Ms. Abdo was a foreign correspondent for many years in the Middle East and the broader Islamic world and was the first American journalist to be based in Tehran since the United States cut off ties with Iran in the aftermath of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. She has authored a number of books, including Mecca and Main Street: Muslim Life in America After 9/11 and No God but God: Egypt and the Triumph of Islam, among other publications.
Ivanka Barzashka is a research associate with the Strategic Security Program at the Federation of American Scientists (FAS). Her work focuses on nonproliferation and international security policy, specifically uranium enrichment and gas centrifuge technology. A physicist by education, Ms. Barzashka manages FAS's ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of Iran's nuclear capabilities, along with its nuclear potential, and how these capabilities could be used to manufacture a nuclear weapon.
