The current release also has the buttons on the left

1. Pretty bad there are so many updates right after a release, but that's what you get when you release often and ontime.

2. Kernel updates require restart (thought you'd know that)

3. Window buttons can be switched back to right side. (still a bad idea to switch imo)

the button can be moved to the other side your ranting about a theme that any linux user could change within 3 seconds and as someone said computer janitor is for completely removing unwanted packages if you want it don`t remove it
